LETS PLAY GO WISH WITH DR. DAWN GROSS
Let’s Play Go Wish! Relief lies in knowing the answers to the questions we never ask. The best way to prepare for the end of our lives is by asking ourselves and those we love what matters most while we are very much alive!
Join Dr. Dawn Gross, host of KALW's Dying to Talk, for a simple card game which makes it easy to start the conversation. You’re invited to bring a friend, loved one or total stranger, or simply come as you are to play the game of a lifetime for a lifetime. The only way to lose the game…is not to play. KALW panel discussion with guests will follow from 2-3pm. Suggested donation $10 at the door.

"Art, Ritual and Death: A Community Conversation"
What do Halloween, Dios de los Muertos and All Saints Day have in common? They each transform the taboo around talking about death. In honor of these upcoming rituals, KALW's Dying to Talk and Re:Imagine | End of Life week are coming to the heart of our community with an audience attended panel discussion, including Rene Yanez, Curator of San Francisco's Dios de los Muertos and Ned Buskirk, creator of Your Going to Die. Share your traditions and learn from others at the event at Here Collective in San Francisco Saturday, October 29. Recorded show will air Sunday, October 30 at 8am on KALW 91.7.
Heart To heart Cafe
CACCC is a non-profit organization in hope to enhance end of life care and improve advance care planning and decision making for Chinese Americans through community outreach education and volunteer, caregiver, and health professional training. Heart to Heart® Café is developed to provide a space and encourage any adults to talk about end of life issues and share their own wishes. We gather participants in a relax setting with some tea and pastries, playing a special designed deck of cards that contains different end of life content such as physical concerns, spiritual needs, and financial situations etc. Through the game will help encourage you sharing your end of life wishes.
